 5 years reserve then 3.5 years active duty. I was on the commissioning crew of the USS Northampton, March 1953. I then spent 46 weeks at Fire Control "A" school in Bambridge, Md. I graduated as a FT3 and returned to the Northampton .I served until my discharge in Nov 1956. I was An FT 1 when discharged.
