Served from July 78 to November 87. Went to Great Lakes Recruit Training
Center, and was assigned to the USS LaSalle (AGF 3) shortly thereafter.
Was involved with the hostage crisis in Nov 79-Apr 80. Was transferred
to the USS Puget Sound (AD 38), Sixth Fleet Flagship, for four years.
Was sent to Naval Station Panama Canal for shore duty and was assigned
to the Harbor Patrol Unit (now a SBU). Honorably discharged in Nov
1987
