Ten days after I turned 17 I joined the US navy in my 7th week of boot camp President Truman declaired a nat emer my training was shortened to 9 weeks and i was sent to Barbers Point Navel Air  Station . my Squd help train Pilots that were sent to Aircraft carriers in Korean waters.two years passed and I was returned to San Diego with Utility Squd 7 also a training base. I served 3 Yrs 9 mo 12 days proudly.altho i didn't go to korea somebody had to help train Men for the WAR.
