Served from July 2, 1963 To March 1984; Went to Boot Camp at Davis Ville, RI.; Assigned to USS Thaddeus Parker, DE 369; involved in Cuba and some trouble in the Union of South Africa. Spent a year at the Naval Reserve Training Station, Clifton, NJ; 1965 reported aboard the USS Wasp CVS-18, reported to Submarine School in 1966 and then in 1967 to the USS Patrick Henry SSBN 599, Then USS Jack SSN 605 until 1968. New London CT. for shore duty and 1970 reported aboard the USS Sturgeon SSN 637 until 1972 then The USS Trepang, in 1973 the USS Sam Rayburn SSBN 635. In late 1974 I was medivaced back to the US and spent time in Bethesda Naval Hospital in DC and transferred to the Submarine Base New London, CT, Specifically the FBM Training Facility. In 1975; went to Dam Neck Virginia to change rating to MT from there, 01976, I went to The Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific. In 1979 transferred to the USS Lafayette SSBN 616; then reported to CTS Detachment New London, CT and in 1982 transferred to CTS Dam Neck, Virginia and retired from there in March 16,1984.
