Served USN from June '58/Dec '67. Basic Training (Co. 284) & MMA School, Great Lakes. Assigned to the Sperry (AS12)in San Diego, CA, then on to the Lake Champlain (CVS39)in Quonset Point, RI. On board during the Gemini Capsule landing, the Cuban Crisis, the accident with the Decatur and also the accident with the Norwegean Ore Ship in Chesapeake Bay. In '84, transferred to the Canopus (AS34) as a Plankowner. Took her to Spain for a year & then transferred to the USAF. Many great times & memories of my Navy days.
