        Served from March 1969 to March 1973. Went to Great Lakes Recruit Training Center. After graduation went to A School at NAS Memphis, then to Training Squadron VF 121 NAS Miramar California. In January 1970 assigned to VF 143 "pukin dogs", CAG 14, on board CVA 64 USS Constilation off coast of Vietnam in Yankee Station. After return to US, CAG 14 and VF 143 transfered onboard USS Enterprise CVAN 65. We did two more cruises to Vietnam in 1971 and 1972-1973. Took part in last days of combat of war and lost our XO to SAM on last combat action of war in  January 1973. Honorably discharged in March 1973.
