Served USN from July 49 to October 58. Boot Camp at San Diego Training Center. Served aboard 2 Tankers: USS Cacapon, USS Caliente as cook. 1955 changed rate to yeoman, assigned net tender USS Mulberry, shore duty at pentagon WDC, discharged 1958. Have ritten history of the Mulberry, and have been in contact with Net Tender historian. Net Tenders were quite unique in a lot of ways, and the stories from the crew members is like unto 'McHale's Navy'.
