Served from 1985 to 1990. Went to Great Lakes Recruit Training Center in February 1985. Attended Engineman "A" school and then was assigned to the U.S.S. Samuel B. Roberts FFG-58 Precomm. Served as a member of the commissioning crew, and was aboard during the deployment and "Operation Earnest Will". During the deployment the ship struck an underwater naval mine. Was Honorably discharged in 1990.
