joined the Navy on Delayed Enlistment Nov 79 then went to Boot Camp RTC
Orlando in Feb 80 then reported to the U.S.S CORONADO AGF-11 in Portsmouth
Va. Where she was under going refit for duty in the Persain Gulf while
the U.S.S. LaSalle AGF-3 went to Philly for a much needed and overdue overhaul.
I first Reported aboard May 80 as a striker non-rate Where I became a Navy Lithographer mate Striker and worked with X Div in the Print Shop. After I left Coronado In oct 81 from the Persain Gulf I went to Meridian Miss. for AD "A" school where I persued my real passion Aircraft. After I left AD "A" school in Jan 82 I reported to VA-72 Blue Hawks A-7E Corsair II in PowerPlants and as a troubleshooter when out to sea and did 2 crusies oboard the U.S.S. America CV-66. I left there and went to VA-122 Golden Eagle In 84 the Fleet Replacement Squadron for A-7E Corsair II In the PowerPlants shop then Troubleshooters line Div.
