I served aboard the USS Hassayampa from 1965-1967. Did two Wespac tours and
participated in the Gemini 8 recovery in March 1966. From there I was assigned
to the 1st Naval Infantry Batt., NSA Security, Danang.I joined the Navy at 17
and never regreted a minute I was in. My son followed in my path and he is an
ET3 going through Nuke school prior to sub duty. I have several pictures of
the "Hass", but I'm looking for any memorabilia (patches, cruise books, etc.)
concerning the USS Hassayampa AO-145.
