Boot camp Great Lakes, Il Camp Paradise Dec 1941 was assigned to
U.S.S. Heywood. APA6.Loaded troops at New YORK and carried them
to Iceland.  Back to Norfolk VA. loaded troops and headed for S.
Pacific Made all the landings. Transfered to U.S.S ORMBSY A.P.A.
Served during during Korea, and VIET NAM.Last duty was aboard
U.S.S. RICHARD PAGE DEG-5. Medically discharged in Norfolk in
1977.Would like to hear from anyone I served with in 33 years in
Navy.
