From 1965-1966, boot camp and MM "A" school.
From 1967-1968, member of Nucleus crew, USNR training ship USS TWEEDY DE-532, at NAS Pensacola, Florida; later moved to new home port at St. Petersburg, Florida, 1968.  Tweedy was decommissioned at Orange, Texas in 1969.  She (sadly) was expended as a target somewhere off Mayport, Florida, by naval practice gunfire.  It is not known precisely where she lies.
