 I served from January 1975 to May 1992. I went to Orlando 
RTC for boot camp. I graduated in March and was assigned to 
Great Lakes Gunners Mate A/C School for Mod 7/8 5/54 in. gun 
mount. After graduation, I was assigned to USS BARRY (DD 
933). In 1983, I was assigned to Great Lakes Gunners Mate 
A/C School for Mod 9/10 5/54 in. gun mount. After 
graduation, I was assigned to USS COONTZ (DDG 40). I served 
on her for four years. I then was transferred to USS PHARRIS 
(FF 1094).I served on her for three years. I then 
transferred to SIMA NORFOLK for my final time before I was 
honorably dis charged in 1992.
