After Recruit Training and attending EM "A" School at Great Lakes I was assigned to the USS Dealey DE 1006. She was refitted in Boston, Mass. in the spring of 1966 to cruise the Mediterranean and Caribbean. I had some of the best times of my life on her and was Honorably discharged in October 1969.
