AK2 USN 1965-1969,  AK3 USN 1971-1973  Served twice: July 1965 to December 1969 and July 1971 to July 1973. 1st enlistment, went to boot camp in Great Lakes Ill.,company#353.I served in Patrol Squadron Six (VP-6) at NAS Barbers Point,Hawaii until December 1969. I went on 3 deployments: Adak AK (Jan-June 1966), Naha Okinawa (June-December 1967) and Sangley Point Philippines (June-
December 1969). In July 1971 I reenlisted and was assigned to USS Forrestal . I served on Forrestal until July 1973. I made one Med cruise on the ship. I welcome any email from former shipmates of VP-6 or USS Forrestal.
