Tour: June, 1945, Great Lakes NTC; Fall of'45,Hospital Corps Training School, Farragut, Idaho; Seattle Naval Hospital 1945-1946; San Diego Submarine Repair base till discharge in 1947 from TADCEN Camp Elliot. In 1945, I just missed a draft to the Fleet Marines by a few men. Also, when I volunteered in June of 45 at age of 17, I had signed up for carrier duty, but, never got called and remained stateside.
