Served from 1969 to 1973, and from 1976-1978---went to boot
in San Diego, then because of lack of education was put in
the steward rate, stationed at the US Naval Academy, was
able to change rate from TN to AN, and was transfered to NAS
Pax. River, MD where I worked in the Security Dept until
transfered to VQ-4 (C-130) squadron, Honorably seperated in
1973.    Enlisted in 1976, and was stationed aboard the USS
America (CV-66) as a Crash and Salvage Firefighter. Learned
welding at Norfolk. Was honorably discharged in 1978. Forgot
to mention, that when I was in VQ-4, I did obtain my MD
state high school diploma. I also did some reserve time and
got out in 1993.
