Went to Great Lakes Recruit Training Center, Oct. 1948,Trained in Co.292.Attended, class A school in Memphis, TENN. Assigned to Jet Fighter Squadron VF171, Cecil Field, Fla. With Squadron severed aboard USS Coral Sea,FDR & Midway. request shore duty in 1951 assigned FASRON 109, Jacksonville NAS Fla. Contacted Polio in September 1951, in Naval Hospitals & Warm Springs Ga. until July 1952, retired with 100% disability.
