YNCS, USN Retired, currently lives in Peabody, Massachusetts.

He received his Recruit Training at NTC Great Lakes, Illinois from 1 January 1948 through 31 March 1948. From there he served aboard the USS PROVIDENCE (CL 82/CLG 6) from 24 April 1948 to 14 June 1949.

He then served aboard the USS ELOKOMIN (AO 55) from 31 June 1949 to 21 December 1951, was part of the COMSERVLANT Staff from January 1951 to January 1955, the COMONE Staff February 1955 through 1957.

In September (19) 1957, he went aboard the USS AGERHOLM (DD 826) until 7 January 1958, and then onboard the USS WASP (CVS 18) from 20 January 1958 until 9 June 1960. 

Harribine was with USNRTC at Lynn, Massachusetts from July 1960 through June 1964, and later USNRTC at Lawrence, Massachusetts from July 1964 through 27 Septemptem 1971, when he retired.

Comments:

    Only regret WASP could have been saved as museum along with INTREPID. 28 year career sailor. Served on board USS WASP (CVS 18) 1958 through 1962. 
    Also - USS HORNET (CVS-12) will relieve WASP (CVS-18) and will be homeported at the old Naval Air Station, Alameda, California, as a Museum Ship. Will carry on for all CVS's that have either been stricken or scrapped."
