Served Oct 1956 - Aug 1997. Recruit Trng, Ships Co & IC "A" School at USNTC Great Lakes Oct 1956 - Oct 1957. USS Macon (CA- 132)Oct 1957 - Jul 1959. Cruises to Carribean, N Atlantic, Med and Great Lakes, transiting Dardanelles and St Lawrence Seaway. Plankowner aboard USS Providence (CLG-6) Jul 1959 - Sep 1960. Shakedown Cruise to Carribean and transited Panama Canal, shifting Home Port from Boston, MA to Long Beach, CA. RFAD Sep 1960. Served in Naval Reserve as IC Electrician Sep 1960 - Aug 1969. Direct Commissioned as Ensign, USNR Aug 1969 and served as NR Intel Officer until "High Year" retirement Aug 1997, 2 months shy of 41 yrs total continuous service.
