Entered the Navy in October 1978 as an undesignated Seaman Recruit.
Completed Boot Camp at RTC San Diego and was assigned to USS MIDWAY (CV 41) in okosuka, Japan from March 79-Feb 82.  Transferred to NAVSUBASE Bangor, WA as a YN2.  Terminated shore duty in 1985 and reported to USS IOWA (BB 61) from May 85.  After making YNl, and attaining my ESWS pin, I was selected for YNC and as a Limited Duty Officer Ensign and detach in Sep 88.  After CWO/LDO Indoc in Pensacola, I reported to USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) in Oct 88 and detached in Sep 91 and reported as Head, Retirements/Fleet Reserve Branch, BUPERS until Mar 94. Served as Officer in Charge, Personnel Support Detachment, Idaho Falls, ID from Mar 94-Apr 95 before decommissioning the reported as Officer in Charge, PSD NAS Whidbey Island until my retirement in Nov 1998.
