Spent Bootcamp at San Diego, CA. in 7/62 to 9/62. After graduation
I was stationed in Long Beach at NOTS until March of 1963. After
that I went to shipfitter school in San Diego, about June of '63' I was
transferred to the USS Nereus (AS 17) at Alameda. Back to San Diego
and from there a cruise to Acapulco, Mexico than another cruise to
Hawaii in Nov. '64'. I worked in the C and R shop doing welding and
plumbing repair aboard ship. Got hurt in December 1964 and was
honorably discharged in 1969.
