    Assigned to USS Chepachet AO-78 in 1944, served in the
    Atlantic and then to the Pacific.  Ship was assigned to 
    the Third and Seventh Fleet.  Action from New Guinea through
    Phillipines and Korea.  Discharged March 3, 1946.
