Served from June 1959 to October 1979.  Recruit Training in San Diego and
from there to FTC Norfolk, Va. for RM "A" school.  Upon graduation was
transferred to NAS Jacksonville Fl. for a special 1 year tour.  From there to USS
Jacana (MSC-193) until Feb. 1963 at which time I was transferred to USS
Hummingbird (MSC-192).  In June 1963 I was released from active duty and
decided to re-enlist in October 1963.  I was stationed at Naval Station Charleston SC awaiting orders until December 1963 at which time I was transferred to USS Polk County (LST-10840).  In 1965 I was transferred to COMLANSHIPRON Three staff where I shipped over in late 1965.  After attending RM "B" and Teletype repair school at San Diego NTC, I was transferred to USS Tringa (ASR-16).  I attended Cryptographic Repair enroute
to the Tringa.  In 1967 I received orders to USNAVCOMMSTA
Balboa Panama Canal Zone where I spent a three year tour.  Upon returning to
the States, I received orders to USS San Dieg! (AFS-6) and from there attended
COMMSYS Controller school at NCS Cheltenham, Md as a shipping over
incentive.  I received order to the Naval Radio Station, Thurso, Scotland and
reported there in Jan. 1972.  I left Thurso and participated in the ADCOP
program, receiving my AA degree in GenEd from Pensacola Junior College in
1975.  Upon graduation I re reived order to the Chief of Naval Education and
Training (CNET) staff in Pensacola.  I reported there after attending the Defenc
Race Relations Institute at Patrick AFB.  I  attained RMCS while attached to
CNET and in 1978 received orders to the USS Forrestal (CV-59).  I retired from
there in October 1979.  Since retirement I have completed my BS degree in
Industrial Technology and I am currently employed by Texas Instruments,
Incorporated as a Quality Engineer with the Houston, Texas silicon wafer Fab.
