Served from June 11, 1943, until Feb. 4, 1946. Code
operator at NXZ Base Radio COMSOPAC Noumea,
New Caledonia 1943. Shipped aboard the USS SC-995
in summer of 1944, 3 island invasions in 1944-1945.
Air/sea rescue service Marianas Trench summer of
1945 when the Inola Gay dropped the A-bomb on
Hiroshima. I've written a book on my experiences, and
it's in paperback at Barnes&Noble and other chains.
