Did boots at San Diego. YN"A" School, San Diego. Was sent to Board of Review, Discharges & Dismissals, Wash., D.C. for first duty. Got assigned to ADM Byrd's South Pole expedition in 1949. Went to Surface Antisubmarine Development Detachment, Key West. Went to YN"B" School, San Diego, while there. Was assigned Secretary to President Truman for two weeks 1962. Received commendation for typing from CINCLANTFLT. Went to Commander, Naval Forces South(NATO) 1962-64 Naples, Italy. Went to Instructor School, Norfolk, then taught three years in YN"B" School, SDiego. Was Admiral's Writer at MAAG, Japan, Tokyo 1957-9. Went to First Fleet on North Island for one year. Then recruiting duty in Columbus, OH 1960-4. Finished up with Naval Intelligence in Yokosuka as last tour.
