Enlisted Oct. 5, 1942--Boot camp Great Lakes, Camp Moffit--OGU Bremerton, WA, boarded USS Chaumont for Yakatat Alaska Via Sitka Alaska--Left Alaska to an OGU at Treasure Island near Frisco. Was assigned to the commissioning of Fleet Tanker AO93 in late 1944. Spent the rest my tour as a Signalman 3/c in the Okinawa campaign until the surrender-- Transfered to an APA for the States. Discharged in Sampson, New York on November 10, 1945.
