Joined the Navy on May 14,1951.  Went to the USS Waldron, DD-699 in
August, 1951 and served aboard her Until my discharge on May 6, 1955. Attended DK School in Newport, RI  during September and October, 1952.  Was on the deck force (1st Division)during Northern European and Med Cruise (September, 1951 to February, 1952.  Then became a DK Striker.
Visited 21 different countries while aboard the Waldron, so I certainly did "see
the world".  Loved the Navy and loved being out on the oceans of the world. I still love the Navy and am active in Tin Can Sailors and the USS Waldron Alumni Association.  Glad I discovered this website
