Served from Aug 80 until March 2001.Went to Recruit training
center San Diego. First assignment was HC-1 Det 2 deployed on the Uss
Midway CVA-41 from Feb81-Feb83.Transferred to HS-2 deploying onboard USS
KittyHawk CV-63. Next assignment was shore duty in VT-21 NAS Kingsville
TX. Tranferred back to HS-2 in Aug87 then deployed on USS Nimitz CVN-68.In
August of 1989 I then seperated from active duty and joined the reserves.
After seven months in the reserves I returned to active duty Mar90 going to
RTC Orlando for NAVET Training. After training I was assigned to VFA-125 at
NAS Lemoore Ca. MY next assignment was to Seaopdet NAS North Island
making deployments on USS Carl Vinson CVN-70. Next was the hottest of all
assignments NAF EL CENTRO CA.while there I worked in Hazmat (general duty).
Final Command USS TARAWA LHA-1. Retiring at the end of West-Pac 2000-
2001.
