July 8, 1997 - Sept 16, 1997: Great Lakes RTC. Division 353 ship number
2. RDC's BUC(SCW) Ellis and BM2 Scott Frasier. I dont care what anyone
says about bootcamp. I had a over all good experience there and meet some
really great people. Some that I still talk with today. Of course it wasnt
that long ago. Sept 16, 1997 - Jan 23, 1998: NTTC Corry Station, Pensacola,
FL. CTO "A" school. When I arrived there I thought it was like a prison
all the gates with barbed wire. I soon found out what a CT did. I also
meet some great people here. What I remember ost is going to New Orleans
on the weekend and the clubs which seemed to be every night. My teachers
there were CTO1(SW) Craig Webb (USN) and Staff Sargent Amanda Ladet (USMC).
To tell you the truth I didnt learn much there. Just the Corry station
is a boring place. If you have been there you know what I am talking about.
Feb 9, 1998 - Present. Head Quaters United States Commander in Chief Pacific
Forces (USCINCPAC), Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. I work for the J2 RADM(S)
R. Porterfield. CINCPAC is a good command I guess there could be worse
places to be stationed. Were I a stationed in J212s is top heavy. 1 LCDR,
1CWO2, 1 CTOCM, 1CTOCS, 1CTOC, and way to many CTO1's to count. We support
many commands with Special Intel Communications. Commands include USCINCPAC,
CINCPACFLT, COMMARFORPAC, COMSOCPAC, JICPAC, USARPAC, PACA , also all ships
with cryto support in port and many other users abroad. We also support
technical support with router, muxes and other high tech equipment. My
work space has four work sections with 7 people in each. Working a sechedule
of 2days on, 1 ay off, 2 mids on, and this is my favorite part 4 days off.
Now who can complain about that. I am also a volunteer tour guide on the
Greatest battle ship in the world the USS Missouri (BB-63). When my tour
is up here in July of 2001 I plan to join the reserves as a CTO3 if not
possibly an IS3. I plan to go to college and get my degree. Who knows maybe
ROTC. I know I like the navy and it needs alot of work. Maybe I can do
some good. Of cour e it helps if I have something on my collar. If anyone
is interested in writing to me feel free.
